About GreenH2O Power Technology

GreenH2O Power Technology Sdn Bhd (formerly Biofuel Hydrolyzer Sdn Bhd) is a Malaysian manufacturing company registered to develop, design, manufacture, and market the Nucleus system — converting internal combustion and diesel engines into environmentally-friendly engines.

The Nucleus supplements fuel by increasing octane and cetane levels, enhancing the vehicle's ability to burn all injected fuel completely. It cuts emissions by 70%, reduces petrol consumption by up to 45%, and diesel by up to 40%.

R&D commenced in 2008. The team successfully harnessed hydrogen through electrolysis — splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen. The first prototype was ready by late 2008, followed by rigorous testing across multiple countries to ensure quality and stable results.

Common Questions

Everything you need to know about the Nucleus technology, installation, and performance.

Still have questions? Reach our technical team at +603-9226 1133 or use the contact form below.
How does the Nucleus work?+
The Nucleus uses electrolysis to split water into Hydrogen and Oxygen. These gases are introduced into the intake system, improving combustion efficiency and reducing emissions — without modifying the engine.
How old is this technology?+
Electrolysis was discovered by Michael Faraday in 1835. The Nucleus has applied it commercially since 2007, with field results documented across Asia and Europe.
Can it work on any engine?+
Yes. The Nucleus works on any petrol, diesel, or gas engine — old or new. Any sector using an internal combustion engine is suitable.
Does it require engine modification?+
No modification is required. Only one 8mm insertion is made at the air filter. No Road Transport Department approval is needed as it is installed away from the engine compartment. Uninstallation takes approximately 30 minutes.
How much fuel can I save?+
The Nucleus can improve your km/l mileage by at least 20%. Typical results show up to 45% savings for petrol and up to 40% for diesel. Results can be observed within a week if the engine is in fair operating condition.
Will fuel savings decrease over time?+
No, as long as the Nucleus and the engine receive their scheduled maintenance. Savings only drop if the unit is neglected or the engine itself is already running poorly.
What's a baseline test, and how is it conducted?+
A baseline test records the vehicle's fuel performance before installation, using a tank top-up before and after a run, GPS fuel monitoring, or a digital flow meter. This is what verifies the savings figures.
Why is fuel testing conducted on the highway?+
Highway driving holds a constant speed in a controlled environment, giving the most accurate before-and-after comparison.
Why do I see less fuel savings in the city?+
Traffic, idling, and lower oxygen levels reduce efficiency in stop-start driving. The percentage saving stays consistent, but the absolute figure looks smaller in city conditions.
How does it reduce emissions?+
Hydrogen and oxygen improve combustion completeness, cutting CO, CO₂, and NOₓ. The only byproduct of the H2/O2 reaction itself is water.
How does it lower engine temperature?+
The oxygen produced converts back to water during combustion, drawing heat out of the cylinder. Lower running temperatures reduce the overheating that causes most breakdowns.
Does it extend oil-change intervals?+
Yes. Cleaner combustion leaves fewer carbon deposits, slowing oil degradation and component wear, which extends service intervals.
How much water does it consume?+
Very little — one litre of water lasts approximately 10,000 km. Only RO, distilled, or rainwater should be used.
Can NUCLEUS use tap water?+
Currently only RO, distilled, or rainwater is approved. Tap water compatibility is under testing.
What happens if you don't top up the water?+
The Nucleus can malfunction. Regular topping up keeps it operating correctly.
Will it drain the vehicle battery?+
No. The Nucleus requires only about 5 amps of current. The alternator continuously charges the battery and can produce up to 120 amps, so the draw is negligible.
What is the lifespan and warranty?+
The Nucleus has a 10-year lifespan. Electrical components carry a one-year warranty. Periodic maintenance every 6 months is recommended.
Is it safe?+
Completely. The Nucleus has been in use in Malaysia since 2007 with zero incidents. Hydrogen is produced on-demand in tiny quantities and is never stored under pressure — no explosion risk.
If NUCLEUS malfunctions, is it safe to operate?+
Yes. It's safe to keep driving, though we recommend shutting down the unit via its kill switch until it's serviced.
Will a malfunction shutdown affect my fuel savings?+
Not immediately. Carbon deposits take time to build back up in a clean engine, so savings hold for a while after shutdown.
What can go wrong with the NUCLEUS?+
It needs regular maintenance to keep performing. Electrical components carry a one-year warranty against defects.
Is it safe to operate the engine if NUCLEUS is faulty?+
Yes. The engine runs normally regardless of the Nucleus's condition.
Can NUCLEUS cause any harm to the engine?+
No. It requires no engine modification, and is backed by a manufacturer guarantee against damage claims.
What happens if NUCLEUS keeps running while faulty?+
Some Nucleus components may be damaged, but the engine itself stays unaffected.
What's the turnaround time for a NUCLEUS repair?+
About two weeks.
Is the Nucleus patented?+
Yes. The Nucleus is a patented technology in Malaysia and India.
What certifications does it hold?+
Certified by SIRIM, Alam Sekitar, MINDEF/STRIDE, DBKL, GreenTag, JPJ, ISO 9001 (UK), CE (UK), Millbrook (UK), WIPO, and MYIPO.
What is the maintenance cycle?+
A periodic maintenance cycle of 6 months is required. Servicing takes approximately 3 hours and must be performed by a trained technician. The engine can remain operational during maintenance.
If NUCLEUS is this good, why isn't everyone using it?+
New technology takes time to displace entrenched habits and incumbent fuel-industry interests. Adoption is accelerating as field results and certifications build a track record.
